Through Clinton Street school grounds and their track
South to College, and back west and home
Length: 1.25 hours
Distance / Pace / Steps:
About 7 km / comfortable pace with only a few quicker intervals / about 8000 steps
(Of course, if you walk to the Y and walk home… there you go! 10,000 made easy!)
Weather: Mixed cooler morning, with interesting clouds. Most of us wore layers and then removed them!
How was it? Great to welcome two new walkers. And we missed those who were away. See you all next time.
What came up? Travel, photography, Alaska, Ottawa, journalism, Elmira, music, films (two of us are still attending TIFF – today is the final day), dining out, brunch plans!, families, pets, reading, teaching, languages, neighbourhoods, fitness, walking destinations! Also: future brunch walks (a few of the group missed that first momentous occasion, and are eager to have us repeat it!) (Yes, we will!).
Coming soon: a fall walk to enjoy autumn blooms and changing leaves. Sooner than we know it: cool weather! Dress appropriately. If it is slippery or miserable out, we can vote on walking the indoor 100-meter track. But… I hope we can stay outdoors, all year long!
Ideas to suggest for a great group wander? Comment below. And join us next week!
Have you joined us already? We hope to see you often.
Can’t make it? No worries! Drop in whenever you can.
Stay in touch. We wouldn’t want you to miss plans for our next brunch walk!
