We meet at Toronto College Street West End YMCA Sunday mornings, 9:00 a.m.
We set out into the city for some great conversation, fresh air and… walking!
We walk for one to two hours, and cover six to ten kilometres.
Not to mention covering all sorts of interesting topics,
and seeing intriguing architecture, businesses,
blooming or greening plant life… and even other walkers!
Wear comfortable shoes. Terrain is fairly easy (mostly sidewalks).
Pace is moderate. All are welcome. See you soon!
Here is this week’s update and plan:
Hello Sidewalk Warriors! (✯ Thank you Nilla, for that! ✯)
Last week, we got soaked! Great rainy fun, though. We marched up RailPath to the Wallace Street pedestrian overpass bridge:
Enjoyed some great wildflowers and graffiti:
Then we wandered along Dundas a bit, towards The Junction area. The morning was flying past, so we didn’t get too far into The Junction. Next time! 🙂 We enjoyed a great walk home along very lush and green, treed and gardened streets, when (surprise) it began to rain. Really rain! Did we care? No. Just kept on walking.
Definitely a four-star walk! ✯ ✯ ✯ ✯
This week, Sunday, July 20, we’ll keep it local. Come along for this “survey walk.” Ever wonder about the great places in our neighbourhood to grab coffee or tea, or meet a friend to catch up? Parks, cafés, libraries, shops, good walking streets, interesting spots and stops – we’ll pass them all. Take notes for future visits! Or… take photos!
Requests and recommendations for future walks gladly accepted here. Share your ideas on Sunday. We’re planning now, for more wonderful morning explorations. Next week is a special occasion. Can you guess?? Join us, to find out.
See you in the usual place, this Sunday, and every Sunday, at 9:00 a.m. Bring water. Wear sunscreen.
Invite a friend or two to join us! Share this website with them, too, so they’ll know what we plan next.
