Do you love a nice, leisurely s-t-r-o-l-l ?
Fine! Then walk slowly, if you must. (It’s Sunday, after all!)
But if you’d enjoy a quicker pace occasionally, we’ll set that pace, this week!

Meet at Toronto College Street West End YMCA
Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
for conversation, fresh air, exercise and just to enjoy the city.
In one to two hours, we usually cover six to ten kilometres.
Not to mention covering all sorts of interesting topics,
and seeing intriguing architecture, businesses, cats, dogs,
gorgeous plant life… and even other walkers!
Wear comfortable shoes. Terrain is fairly easy (mostly sidewalks).
Pace is moderate. (Well, maybe not this week!)
All are welcome. See you soon!
This week’s update and plan:
Thanks to all who joined us for the walk to High Park and a relaxed brunch, last week. It was great to just celebrate Sunday and break bread (yes, French toast) with you.
Let’s enjoy some more summer walking on Sunday, August 24.
The forecast looks good. We’ll see if we can keep up a quicker pace for about an hour. This won’t be a stroll in the park! Time to enjoy some morning air and quieter streets. And to challenge ourselves a bit. Half an hour, briskly, south – to pass a couple of favourite spots. And then back. Can do!
Requests for future walks? Interesting explorations? Comment here, or bring your ideas along on Sunday. We are accumulating a great list of destinations.
Coming up soon: more great walks. Including a bird migration watch with picnic on the Toronto Islands. Yes, that will be Part 2 of our Island Walking mini-series, guided by our friend, and local Island expert, Tony. Thanksgiving weekend, fall colour, something to celebrate together as fall approaches. Can’t wait!
This week, see you in the usual place: Sunday, 9:00 a.m. Bring water.
