and even other walkers!

All are welcome. Wear comfortable shoes.
Terrain is fairly easy (mostly sidewalks).
Pace is moderate. Hope to see you soon.

Here is this week’s update and plan:

Hi fellow walkers!

Last week, we went back to the lake. Down Roncesvalles, to the bridge over the Gardiner Expressway and along the boardwalk portion of the Martin Goodman Trail. The sun was warm and beautiful, the lake sparkling. Swans swam, and we saw a few people on the water, in various marine conveyances. Some of us headed all the way over to Etobicoke and the Humber Bay Arch Bridge:

This week, Sunday, September 14, we will take the subway to High Park station and, from there, head northwest. The Humber Valley’s Home Smith Park awaits us. We’ll walk along the river, through Etienne Brulé Park, to King’s Mill Park and then on to the Jane subway station. You’ll need two transit fares.

Grass is still green. This should be a great weekend for a pre-fall walk, in a beautiful part of the city. Natural wonders abound in this lovely linking river-valley/park system. Let’s see what we discover.

See you in the usual place, Sunday, 9:00 a.m. Wear good shoes for this one. Bring water. Prepare for any weather possibilities!

Would you like to join us part way along our route? Please phone or text me Sunday morning and I’ll keep you posted on our progress.

Invite a friend to join us? Great!

Are you reading about our club for the first time? Excellent – and welcome! Now you know where we’re going. Maybe you can walk with us!
