Snowflakes landing…

Howdy, winter walkers!

Update:

A couple of us had a great neighbourhood walk last Sunday. We saw store windows with festive treats, church crèches (and a private nativity scene, too: lovely family treasure), a busy construction site (early Sunday morning? interesting!), and folks walking their dogs. The snow was melting, and it was a bit misty, but never rainy enough to bother with umbrellas. Nice!

And this week’s plan:

Sunday, December 21 2014: we’ll take a special ornament walk. Destination, one particular installation, downtown.

I don’t want to give away the surprise, but there is something quite lovely to see. We’ve been here before, and we were not disappointed. So the location is familiar, but I have a feeling it will look completely different. A seasonal installation. I think we’ll enjoy it. Not really a big deal, and not very time-consuming. But wintery and festive. And the nice thing is that this will be an annual destination. Two parts of this project are ready to enjoy, and part three will be ready when we return next winter. (Talk about planning ahead!!)

So please join me for a walk downtown and back. It looks like we’ll have a mild, sunny day. That’s a nice treat before Christmas!

Oh, wait. What was that?
Did someone mention a treat?
Before Christma?
Ho ho ho!!!
… you’ll have to join us to find out.

Requests for future walks? Interesting explorations? Comment, or bring your ideas on Sunday. Winter-friendly plans ahead. How about another snowy walk to a cozy High Park brunch?

See you Sunday!

Are you reading about our club for the first time?
Welcome! Now that you know where we’re going, you should join us!
