Have you also been wondering what’s going on at One Spadina Crescent, that wonder of Victorian architecture in the small traffic circle above College Street? We’d passed it, and seen the hoardings and scaffolding. We then learned a bit about it (Elizabeth shared this video of the architects explaining their creative reuse plans for this building, and I suggest this video about the visual concepts of the project, and more, and liked this article, too). Finally, we went on a sunny Sunday to have a look. Of course, there is no sidewalk. Yet! So we admired the in-progress project from across the street, and enjoyed considering how beautiful it already looks. We’ll definitely visit, maybe to explore inside (if we can) and out (since the amendments to the exterior sound intriguing), once this major renovation is completed. The plans are pretty interesting. Do go check it out!
And this week’s plan…
Sunday, April 19, 2015:
And now, for something completely different! A few of us have discussed getting a little more exercise… outdoors. Your wish is my command. Problem solved. (Part 1!) This week, we’ll take a neighbourhood walk to a wonderful park where we can create our own brief, fun circuit training routine. Running shoes, or similar, recommended. Maybe water bottles. (So we look like real outdoor athletes.) We can do it! This will be a blast. It’s so handy that this may become an early morning habit for some, on nice summer days.
Plenty more: walking, looking, photography, exercise, blooming cherries, greenery, table tennis re-match, brunches, city landmarks and many other great walks, just ahead. (And stretching far, far off into the future, too.)
See you soon!
Are you reading about our club for the first time?
