Just ahead: outdoor arts!
But first, about last week:
What could be better than summer at the beach?
Sunnyside Beach, that is.
A bright sunny day, great company (we began as eight and gradually diminished to four, then three… as people needed to leave early for other parts of town). We enjoyed some shade, some cool breezes, and a lot of beautiful flowers in a surprise flower shop, on our way home. (We’ll be back! ❀ ✿ ❀)
Then, we visited Liberty Village outdoor market, found some lovely fruit and veg, and enjoyed some delicious black bean pupusas from Maizal. Sorry… no food photos. No excuse, but I was just too busy enjoying it to photograph it!

NEXT UP: Sunday, July 10, 2016:
Let’s meet at the Y at 9:00 and walk to Nathan Phillips Square. By whatever route we choose.
This weekend, all weekend long, is the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, and it’s one of the great ones.
Want to find a special gift? Good place to look. Prefer to just browse and enjoy? No problem!
The weather may be a bit cooler, but it’s very ☼hot☼ on the square. Prepare for that.
Over 300 artists are exhibiting, so we may not have time to see everything. We can try, though. I suspect we may want to spend two hours there, but we’ll confer when we arrive. We’ll choose a time to check in, and a location. Then we’ll split up so we can each enjoy what appeals to us. If some people wish to depart when we meet, no problem (but at least we will know they are going!). If some choose to stay a bit longer after that and enjoy a bit more, so be it!
Sound good? I look forward to it! If anyone buys a huge work of art, they may need to take transit home. Otherwise, we’ll walk back, seeking shade and probably seeking iced tea, too! See you then!
Coming right up:
I’ll be away for the remaining three July Sundays. (Three different exciting things – will tell you about all, on our walk.) But that doesn’t mean you can’t walk. You should! I will suggest something for each of those Sundays, in case you still want to get together. I hope you do! (And I hope you’ll send me photos to post!)
When I get back, expect to wrap up summer with walks along The Kay Gardner BeltLine, into pretty Glen Stewart Ravine. And yes, we will try The Spit. And maybe The Bluffs. And more!
See you soon!
You’re just finding WestWalking for the first time?!
Welcome. You really should walk with us!
See you in the morning!
