A few red leaves…

Another brunch in High Park.
But first, about last week:

Our neighbourhood wander took us up, down, across and over streets around our neighbourhood. We zig-zagged up to Christie Pits and further, then back down to College and Bathurst. But we didn’t make it to our final destination (Dufferin Grove Park), as most of us had afternoon plans. We looked for autumn leaves and enjoyed the sunshine, and then we split up, well before mid-day. Two of us had skipped breakfast (not recommended, mind you!), so we went for breakfast at Mars. It had been decades since I’d eaten there, and it was, indeed, out of this world. (Corn muffins are as good as ever.) I’d visited Dufferin Grove two days before our walk, seeking fall colour. So photos of those lovely maples are included here too, just because.

Stroll along with us, in the photos. And head out for a walk yourself, before all the leaves fly away!

THIS WEEK,
Sunday, October 30, 2016
:

Meet at the Y at 9:00, as usual. We will re-trace our footsteps (went here on our very first walk!) and head to High Park. There will likely still be some fall colour. And we will very likely work up an appetite! Brunch in the park is the plan. If you’ll meet us there, we should arrive by around 10:00. See you at the Grenadier. If you beat us there, please text or call me. And please go in and get us a table, in the lovely back room. We’ll see you there!

Anyone wanting a bit more of a walk, after brunch… great idea!

COMING RIGHT UP:

Feel free to bring a friend along to share our walks. See you soon.

What?!
You’re just finding WestWalking for the first time?!

Welcome. You really should walk with us!
See you Sunday!
