Of course this week is a holiday!
But first, about last week:
We had a terrific walk to a big table full of tasty dim sum! It was a slightly icy day, but we enjoyed the sunshine and didn’t let slippery sidewalks get us down (or knock us down!).
Our early brunch was tasty, and the walk provided a few interesting sights, when we felt comfortable enough to raise our eyes from the sidewalk ahead. Bonus: it was very nice company for a cool bright day. Thanks to all who trusted me about turnip pancakes (my favourite) and for sharing the delicious stuffed tofu skin (Anna’s suggestion – delicious!). We’ll definitely do that again!
Here are some quick pix of our meal and a few things we noticed along the way:
We won’t walk together, this Sunday.
If you celebrate Christmas eve, Channukah, Christmas, the just-past Solstice, or something else special to you this week, I wish you the very best. I’m taking December 25th off for some family time!
My own festive December began with a great family party out of town, on December 4… and seems to continue apace. Three more events this weekend. (Or is it more?) I admit that it’s a bit too much. After all this fun, a nice long walk will seem like a vacation!
So happy celebrations to all of you, and I’ll be in touch again in a few days to remind you about:
Coming right up:
Our annual New Year’s walk to the lake! We’ve done this a couple of times before, and this year, the date really cooperates. THAT’S NEXT WEEK (Sunday, 01 January 2017!). Plenty of time to catch up then.
For now, I wish you a festive end to this year. And a wonderful start to the new year ahead.
Happy travels to all the wandering walkers. I hope you’re fitting in a walk or two, too! Bring back some stories to share.
See you soon!
You’re just finding WestWalking for the first time?!

See you in the morning!
